Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) and the tyre industry want to minimise emissions and work with the end-of-life tyre (EOLT) sector to better understand their carbon emissions.
TSA has commissioned this report to assist tyre reprocessors, remanufacturers and end-users to better understand carbon emissions and targets, and to support tyre recovery in Australia.
Using tyre-derived product (TDP) or tyre-derived fuel (TDF) may lower carbon emissions in certain applications when compared to fossil-fuel base alternatives, meaning some organisations within the EOLT sector could potentially claim their products create lower emissions when compared to conventional alternatives.
